  • Listing content: Startup name, description, URL, logo, cover images, category, tags, and other metadata you submit.

  • Reviews and comments: Text content, ratings, and replies you post.
  • Payment information: Processed directly by Stripe. We receive a transaction ID, plan type, and payment status — we never see or store your credit card number.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Log data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and local storage: See Section 5 below.
  • Analytics data: Aggregated usage data collected through Google Analytics (see Section 6).

  • _ga — Google Analytics identifier. Expires after 2 years.
  • _gid — Google Analytics session identifier. Expires after 24 hours.

We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 on certain forms (registration, login, contact) to protect against spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

8. Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active. Deleted upon account deletion request.
  • Listing data: Published listings remain visible while active. Removed listings are soft-deleted and may be retained for up to 90 days before permanent deletion.
  • Payment records: Retained for up to 7 years for tax and legal compliance.
  • Contact form messages: Retained for up to 2 years, then deleted.
  • Server logs: Retained for up to 90 days.
  • Analytics data: Google Analytics data retention is set to 14 months.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
  • Encrypted sessions and secure cookies.
  • Passwords hashed using bcrypt.
  • Access controls limiting who can view user data.
  • Regular security reviews of our codebase and infrastructure.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
